Fearless. Hardworking. Respected.

In the ten years I have been Coos County Commissioner, I have worked to improve our economy, infrastructure, and economic stability. When I took office, Coos County was on the state’s watch list as a county that might have to file bankruptcy. Since I took office, I have stabilized the budget, and worked to find other sources of revenue to fund essential government services. I have not raised taxes, but have managed to provide the same or better levels of service for you, the taxpayer.

I have spent ten years as your Coos County Commissioner, working tirelessly to represent you and your concerns at the state, local, and national level. I have been elected as the president of the Association of Oregon Counties, an honor bestowed on me by my peers. I have also served as the Chair of the National Association of Counties Energy, Environment, and Land Use Committee, which allowed me to talk about the challenges Coos County faces from federal regulations.
